- Provide primary administrative support to the School Chair and Senior Associate Chair
- Manage all school-level events, including room reservations, catering, contracts, Workday processes, and reimbursements
- Manage all MSE student organization events, including room reservations, catering, contracts, Workday processes, and reimbursements
- Oversee EMS desktop conference room management and approve bookings for MSE buildings
- Supervise Admin Professional III, providing guidance and oversight for daily administrative activities
- Serve as backup for Admin Manager II and Admin Professional III
Desiree is an accomplished Administrative Professional with over 15 years of experience, relocating from San Diego, CA to Georgia. She is enthusiastic about joining MSE and contributing her wealth of expertise to her new role.
Desiree's previous role at Omni Coffee and Eggs in Atlanta allowed her to thrive as the admin for Product and Development, playing a pivotal role in the creation and development of new products from inception to completion. Her versatility was further demonstrated as she took on a dual role as the Catering and Event Coordinator, showcasing her exceptional organizational and sales skills. Prior to this, Desiree spent her early career at The Preuss School UCSD in La Jolla, serving as a Registrar in a unique charter middle and high school that provided opportunities for low-income students to pursue higher education.
Outside of her professional endeavors, Desiree was actively engaged in her community in San Diego, volunteering through her church and serving on the board of a non-profit organization that assisted homeless individuals with resources and employment opportunities.
Desiree's decision to relocate to Georgia was driven by her love for spending time with family and grandchildren. In her leisure time, she enjoys cooking, taking walks, volunteering and indulging in creative pursuits such as interior decorating.
