MSE assistant professor Juan-Pablo Correa-Baena is taking flight—sort of. The Innovations in Materials and Movements exhibition has taken over Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson Airport, featuring his work, Glaring Through the Sun. Drawing on his research in solar energy materials, Correa-Baena uses scientific data to explore how emerging energy systems shape environmental futures. His work centers on next-generation photovoltaic technologies, highlighting how material design and fabrication can improve efficiency, scalability, and environmental impact while advancing the transition to clean, accessible energy.
