Emily Gooding was Chosen to Attend NASEC
Undergraduate student Emily Gooding was chosen to attend the Naval Academy Science and Engineering Conference (NASEC) in Washington, DC.
The U.S. Naval Academy, a leading institution of higher education with strong programs and emphases in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), hosted an annual conference to bring policy makers and science advisors together with university faculty and students to meet and discuss significant science and engineering issues and challenges.
The conference provides a forum to bring together the nation's future Navy and Marine Corps officers with their peers from other colleges and universities, both civilian and military, from across the country.
This student-run conference aims to provide a forum in which the student partcipants engage in discussion and research on some of the key scientific and technical challenges facing the nation and the world.
The conference attendees had the unique opportunity to hear from three distinguished speakers, listed below, about their perspectives on the main themes of the conference. In addition, a special Poster Session , and a Hands-on/Minds-on session offer all student participants the opportunity to engage in conversations and activities about their own personal research interests.
