The 3rd Annual Student Awards Ceremony and Picnic was held on Tuesday, April 5, 2007. A little cold for a spring day, but nonetheless, all enjoyed the event as we celebrated the accomplishments and academic achievements of our outstanding student body. Undergraduate scholarship awards, special undergraduate awards, graduate fellowships and awards were presented, along with The Advanced Publication Award, Research Initiation Award, and Outstanding Thesis Award. This award may be won twice: once as the first author and once as a co-author. In each case, the paper must be accepted for publication or in print within eighteen months of the start of the student as a graduate student in MSE at Georgia Tech.
