Student Awards Ceremony 2006

The Second Annual Student Awards Ceremony  was held this year on April 6, 2006 in the MaRC Auditorium.  We celebrated the accomplishments and outstanding academic achievements of our student body.   Undergraduate scholarships and awards, graduate fellowships and awards were presented, along with The  Advanced Publication Award, Research Initiation Award, and Outstanding Thesis Award.  Also special congratulations went out to our 2006 Spring Graduates.

Research Initiation Award

The Research Initiation Award is presented to Georgia Tech MSE graduate students who have authored or co-authored a peer -reviewed journal paper. These papers are based on work conducted at Georgia Tech. This award may be won once as the lead author and once as a co-author. In each case, the papers were accepted for publication or in print within 18 months of the start of the student as a graduate student in MSE at Georgia Tech.
